Yes, that’s a funny way of putting it. “Installs a new beer garden?” See the image gallery below and you’ll understand. Rick McLaughlin, the owner at Big Time Brewery and Alehouse, has planned to do this for some time. No doubt the pandemic influenced the schedule, but whatever the case, Big Time has now successfully installed a new beer garden out front: the BTBG.
“I have been trying to save up money for years to build this beautiful beer garden,” Rick told me. “We built the beer garden in my front yard in sections, then had to winch it onto flatbed trailers and drive it to Big Time. It has been crazy, but now so rewarding.”
To commemorate the occasion, they’ve created a new beer, BTBG IPA, as they announced on Facebook.
“We can’t wait for you to come try our newest West Coast BTBG IPA! Hopped with Columbus, Centennial, and Chinook. Then we dry-hopped it with Citra and Idaho 7. Combines two of my favorite hop styles. Your first sip will have notes of tropical citrus with a dank pine bitter finish.”
“Perfect for what this beer was named after, can you tell us what that acronym stands for? I’ll give you a hint, it finally opens today!!! All of our permits have been approved, and we finally have dog-friendly seating! This has been a dream of mine for so long, can’t wait to enjoy it with you.”
