75 fresh hop beers, 2,500 people, entertainment, food, and more

Yes, the hop bines are just barely starting to climb up the trellises, but plans are already laid for the 2021 Seattle Fresh Hop Festival. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 9th at Hangar 30. Tickets go on sale May 1st.

This one is sure to be a big hit with local beer fans who crave fresh hop beers, which is darn near every beer lover I know around Seattle. Probably smart to jump on tickets early. Although it’s a whole season away, you know you’re gonna wanna go!

The event will offer upwards of 75 different fresh hop beers alongside entertainment, music, and food. To satiate the hoppy desires of 2,500 festivalgoers, the festival offers two sessions (afternoon and evening).

An ongoing raffle throughout the event gives attendees a chance to win prizes from participating breweries. As a festivalgoer, you’ll have the opportunity to vote for your favorite beers, so the breweries can also walk away with some prizes.

Hangar 30 is located at Magnuson Park in Seattle’s Sand Point neighborhood. It’s a large and airy building that will provide lots of festival space, both indoors and out, rain or shine. Lots of free parking, too, though you are encouraged to enjoy the luxury of public transit, a cab, or a rideshare. Truly, designated drivers are angels walking among us!

In 2019, the first Seattle Fresh Hop Festival happened in Georgetown and was a big hit. Last year, well, that was last year and festivals weren’t part of the landscape, but Seattle Fresh Hop Festival is back for 2021, twice as big as it was before, ready to rock the freshies!

Seattle Fresh Hop Festival is a 21+ event and is operated by Chump Change to benefit its not-for-profit friends.
