The Old Stove 49er Taproom is now open in Seattle.

The new Old Stove Brewing location opened for business on February 22nd in Seattle’s Ship Canal District. Seahawks fans, don’t get your barley in a bunch; Old Stove Brewing is calling it The 49er Taproom for reasons completely unrelated to football. As it is currently configured, the capacity allows for 49 guests.

As things evolve, the name will likely change. Actually, a lot is going to change as time moves along. Old Stove Brewing will eventually have a production facility at the new site, which will also include a beer garden, a concert venue, and an event space. (Below: an architectural rendering of what to expect.)

Old Stove Brewing says that the 49er offers “a unique pub filled with historic brewery memorabilia that will transport you to the world of beer through authentic signage and relics. For now, the space will offer limited indoor and outdoor seating, handmade snacks, and 6 of our best-selling brews.”

The Old Stove 49er Taproom is reserved for adults 21 and older, with current Covid protocols observed. Across town, the existing Old Stove Brewing location near Pike Place Market remains unchanged. This location does not replace that one. The 49er Taproom is very near Seattle Pacific University, across the ship canal from Fremont. Follow Old Stove on Instagram and watch the progress.
